Mark,

T-Mobile is planning to discontinue their @Home service, unfortunately.
I had saved an old email from your blog and wanted to inform you so you can post it to a more recent article on T-Mobile@Home.

After having been switched to Verizon FIOS 25/15mbps service for almost a month now, I'm convinced that the problem is ISP-related and not the router or T-Mobile@Home service. I've not had one problem with @Home since moving to FIOS, from the garbage broadband service that Comcast provided. I urge everyone who is having issues to do a google search for "visualware speed test" and then, after running the test for your speed/connection, look at the QOS (Quality of Service) percentage. If it is below 85% that means your broadband provider is the problem. When I had Comcast my QoS would change by the second, anywhere from 40% all the way to 83% (still never good enough). Since moving to FIOS my QoS has never been below 85%. No more dropped calls, no more 'blue light specials', etc. Rock solid. Of course, I realize this isn't a help to people locked into a contract with Comcast for their broadband service...

I am glad you have had good luck, I have not. My blue light goes off up to 5 time in an hour. Linksys replaced the router with a refurbished one which helped. I was only resetting the router once or twice a day but the problem just got much worse.....again! Never had these issues with Vonage. Quality of service is much better when router is not connected but then i don't have a phone.

I love the service. Recently disconnected my at&t phone line and dsl service to just the dsl service, transferred to tmobile at home, and now am saving $20 a month with unlimited talk time across the U.S. Couldn't be more pleased :).

Love the service. Had some initial issues with AT&T. Cheaper to keep my land line and DSL discount, just have the calls forwarded to the new @Home number. One problem. Cant get the Voice Mail Alert to turn off. I have no msgs but all the phones and router are blinking. Anyone have this problem and can help?

After several years as a TMobile cell customer, I just got the TMobile@home service, and all seems to be fine. With multiple phones around the house, rather than go out and buy a new system, I was able to have a phone services company come out and fix it so that all my jacks operate the same as before, the only thing I had to do was put a splitter onto one of the jacks, one line connected to the phone, the other to the wireless router, and viola, the entire house worked as before, seamlessly with no need for other changes. (total cost $50) My only problem is that the # I ported over I've had for 30 years, and it has always been unlisted, and for as long as there has been caller ID, it has been blocked for this line. It was only after I was all set up and working that I discovered that they were unable to block the outgoing caller ID. They could block or change the name only, but the # will still show up. The only way around this I was given was to push *67 prior to every call. Naturally this is a big hassle, and with serveral people using the phones, not very practical. I would really like to find some way to have permanent outgoing caller ID blocking, for both name and #. Any suggestions? Additional software or hardware? Thank you for your assistance.

How can I connect the T-Mobile router to my phone jack, if I have my internet service (DSL) coming in to the house through the wired system?

You should be able to run from router to phone box or jack in basement and disconnect outside line. that way all phone jacks use it and you can plug into any phone jack in your home.
