I moved this past July to a new house that previously had FIOS installed. I was pretty thrilled with the prospect of getting off of Comcast and moving to Verizon FIOS. It’s been almost 4 months now since first switching to FIOS for my internet and TV, and as much as it pains me to [...]

My Comparison of Verizon FIOS and Comcast Internet and TV Services
One Year Review of Tmobile@Home Phone Service
Hard to believe but it was just over one year ago that I heard about the Tmobile@Home service and, unprepared, I walked into the Tmobile store and purchased my setup. But alas, it’s been a full year of using the service and although I haven’t blogged enough on this site I know a lot of [...]
Incorrect Time on Caller ID/Log/VM for T-Mobile@Home Service?
Just saw this webpage: http://www.fixya.com/support/t1043931-vtech_model_tm3111_2_time …where people are saying that their voicemails are stamped with the incorrect time. Easy enough fix. I never noticed because I might have set the time to EST right when I first checked out the router’s Admin settings.
Router Update Pushed Down from T-Mobile?
I just got a phone call, on 01/07/2009 at 12:32 Eastern time. I pick it up and it’s a recording saying: “Hello! This is T-Mobile. We have sent an update to your @Home router. Please reset your router in order for the update to take effect.” I’m paraphrasing, but that was the basic gist. I [...]
T-Mobile@Home HiPort Adaptor – Anyone Have/Use It?
T-Mobile @Home HiPort adapter My 2-year contract with T-Mobile for mobile phone usage is up this February. I’m on the ‘Family Talk 1000′ plan, so my wife and I both have a phone with a shared pool of 1000 minutes (it cost me $49.95 total for both phones and has been great for us). The [...]
T-Mobile@Home Monthly Bill – How Much It Really Costs (Me)
I get an email once in a while from folks who are considering purchasing the T-Mobile@Home service but can’t seem to believe that the $10 per month is true. In fact, for me at least, it isn’t $10 per month – it’s $9.99 plus taxes. I’m surprised T-Mobile doesn’t advertise $9.99 per month instead as [...]
Looks Like the New Firmware Update for T-Mobile@Home Worked!
Just a heads up and a query on this subject… Last week my T-Mobile@Home service dropped 3 times in a matter of 4 days. Each day that it happened it happened sometime in the morning. As previously discussed, to fix it I had to cycle power to the router. Well, last week after the last [...]

The Dreaded T-Mobile@Home ‘Blue Light Went Out’ Dropped Service Problem and Solution?
I was sitting here yesterday at my PC and glanced over at the blue ‘phone 1′ indicator on my T-Mobile@Home router and thinkking to myself, “Man, it’s been at least a few weeks if not more since the last time I lost service and had to reboot the router and cable modem to get it [...]
TMobile@Home Router WRTU54G-TM Phone Admin Screen and Call Log
I’ve had some folks ask about the router’s administration pages. It has basically all of the typical router settings pages, like port-forwarding, wireless security, etc. In addition, it has two features that are specific to the telephone capabilities of the router. While not really a ‘feature’, the above screen just shows you whether your SIM [...]
