Recent Projects

Note: I am, unfortunately, unable to list all of my past projects here as the majority of my clients are not end consumers but in fact web designers, hosting companies, and other web professionals who sub-contract me for my services. In a lot of cases, I’m simply the ‘guy behind the scenes’, like a ghost writer : ) That said, I’m happy to discuss/provide references upon request.

Functional Sample

I was asked to design and develop online training for FixToFlip.com, the leading site for information on the business of buying and selling investment properties.

Using Flash, Captivate, and XML technologies a modularized framework was developed with flexibility in mind for future needs.

Designer/Developer: Mark Siegrist, Elearninglive.com

Technologies used: Flash/ActionScript . Captivate . XML . Custom Graphics . HTML . Audio

Kitchen World Inc. - Kitchen Of The Month Flash/XML Photo App

Acting as subcontractor to the site designer/developer, I was asked to put together a simple flash timeline-based photo montage. Upon further analysis it was clear to me that a static, uneditable (by a non-Flash developer) flash-based photo solution would not be an ideal solution for the client, even though that was the request. I proposed and subsequently developed an XML-based solution in which the site owner simply needed to add the photos into a directory and edit a simple text file to control the type of animation (fade, zoom in, zoom out, left-to-right, etc.), the duration the photo should be displayed, order of photos, etc. A much better solution for a site page that needs to be updated on a monthly basis by non-Flash developers! The site owner can now maintain the flash content without needing to know Flash. Note: all the animation in this app is done via ActionScript - there was no timelines used.

Designer/Developer: Mark Siegrist, Elearninglive.com

Technologies used: Flash/ActionScript 2.0 . XML
