I get an email once in a while from folks who are considering purchasing the T-Mobile@Home service but can’t seem to believe that the $10 per month is true. In fact, for me at least, it isn’t $10 per month - it’s $9.99 plus taxes. I’m surprised T-Mobile doesn’t advertise $9.99 per month instead as [...]

Just a heads up and a query on this subject…
Last week my T-Mobile@Home service dropped 3 times in a matter of 4 days. Each day that it happened it happened sometime in the morning. As previously discussed, to fix it I had to cycle power to the router.

I was sitting here yesterday at my PC and glanced over at the blue ‘phone 1′ indicator on my T-Mobile@Home router and thinkking to myself, “Man, it’s been at least a few weeks if not more since the last time I lost service and had to reboot the router and cable modem to get it [...]

…and everything has been perfect. No complaints. I don’t know what else to say about it at this point. The audio quality is top-notch - better than my landline. I know that sounds like bullshit but it’s the truth. I’m pretty sure though that getting rid of DSL (and the noise it introduces to the [...]
Tonight I picked up the VTECH phone set that TMobile sells/recommends for use with the @Home service. Actually, each of the sales reps are quick to say you can use any modern wireless phone, and you can (I initially used an older 5.8ghz VTECH that I had sitting in a box of ‘old electronics’ and [...]
11/02/2008 NOTE: After I originally wrote this post a few months ago, T-Mobile linked to it from their t-mobileathome.com site. This has resulted in a huge number of emails/comments on the posts I’ve written about the service. While I appreciate T-Mobile linking to my blog, as all the links/hits I get drives traffic to my [...]
